Casio CT-S400C5 Editorial Review
**** The Casio CT-S400 Touch Response Keyboard Piano is garnering enthusiastic praise from customers who appreciate its impressive blend of features, sound quality, and build at a very accessible price point of £189. Many users compare it favorably to other models, particularly the CT-S1, arguing that while the latter is often spotlighted, the CT-S400 offers equal, if not superior, benefits for beginners and seasoned players alike. A standout feature is the diverse tone and rhythm bank which borrows from the well-received CT-X700, meaning players have access to a rich array of sounds to explore. In addition to the tonal variety, the keyboard is equipped with a modern speaker system, a responsive key bed similar to the CT-S1, and a user-friendly LCD screen paired with a jog wheel that simplifies navigating through its operating system. Even those who previously found digital keyboards daunting express delight in how intuitive it becomes once they acclimatize to its interface, despite some initial learning curves. Moreover, for amateur songwriters and players, the CT-S400 offers practical functionalities such as multi-track recording, chord playing with a single finger (thanks to the Casio Chord feature), and the ability to record performances. Coupled with the useful 'Chordana Play' app, even those who struggle with traditional music reading can find value in its learning tools. Some users highlight particular drawbacks, including a somewhat harsh LCD display that can cause strain over long periods and the requirement for a Bluetooth dongle that some find overpriced. However, these complaints seem minor in comparison to the overall satisfaction that most players express regarding the keyboard's sound richness, playability, and robust range of features. Overall, customer experience with the Casio CT-S400 suggests it is a fantastic entry-level instrument that balances functionality, quality, and affordability without compromising on sound. **
