Novation MIDI Controller AMS-IMPULSE-25 Editorial Review
The Novation Impulse 61 Keys USB Midi Controller Keyboard is a highly recommended and great value piece of equipment. It has semi-weighted keys that are velocity sensitive and can be used as a controller/interface for Pro Tools or as a DAW control surface using the Automap software. The Impulse 61 comes with a USB B to USB A cable in the box, but MIDI cables are not included and need to be purchased separately. However, it does not have transport control integration for FL Studio and does not come with a power cord as it is powered via USB cable connected to a PC/laptop. Customers have found it to be easy to set up and use, has simple integration with Ableton, and good value with lovely feel straight out of the box. The build quality is sturdy, but some customers have found issues with build quality, such as knobs coming off easily. Despite this, the Novation Impulse 61 has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, and it's Considered an excellent investment.
