- A gripping exploration of ethics and identity in a world where the lines between human and machine are beginning to blur. The Plot:Robotics International’s brand new anatomically correct and fully functional android has all the physical attributes to appeal to their target population of high-powered female executives. The problem is, when they first powered him up, Andy hadn’t a clue what to say or how to say it.R.I’s solution? Consign him to the world-renowned psych professor on the condition that Cyrus Bergen will teach Andy to be likeable. While Cyrus is teaching Andy to act in ways that people like, Robotics International is polling a world-wide sampling of top-tier female execs to nail down exactly what they want in a ‘personal assistant.’ It’s funny (sometimes ha-ha funny) how frequently those Venn diagrams overlap.“Andy: Origins” begins with the tale of Cyrus’ success. It continues as the story of an incredibly likeable Andy finding his way in the world. It winds up with the story of what happens to an Andy model after his lessee answers the knock on her bedroom door. What readers are saying:The questions in this tale may well arise in the real world with the lifetime of many readers. This is a thought provoking read that is well worth the time and effort. Guy WheatleyAndroids dating humans? It's strange to think that in a not-so-distant future there could be androids that look completely real, behave like humans (but smarter and kinder, at least for now) and become more and more individuated with each day out of the factory, depending on who they encounter and what happens. This is the territory that Andy is set in. It's about supply and demand, and what people want, and what makes humans human. Pat D“Recommended for android fans, whether we’re talking Data, or David, or Vision, or Maeve.” EliseEtAn exquisite extension of other great writers' works exploring the development of sentience arising from robotic creations, e.g., Asimov. And nicely executed logic sections amongst characters parsing the deeper considerations of personhood. Loved the references to movies and Shakespeare! joe dean williamsScroll up now and grab your copy of what one Amazon reader calls The best writing I've come across in years.

“I bought Huckberry Flint & Tinder blazer at Ubuy. My request for a return was rejected at first but later I received an apology message willing to resolve the matter without placing any burden on me. I really appreciate their resolution. The blazer was collected yesterday by DHL couriers on behalf of Ubuy. They can only do a refund and not offer a bigger size as i expected, but i am fine with that too. ”
