hand2mind Teaching Materials Editorial Review
The hand2mind Folding Geometric Shapes Advanced Set has garnered a generally positive reception among educators and parents, particularly for its innovative approach to teaching complex geometry concepts through hands-on exploration. Users appreciate the ability of the foldable shapes to seamlessly transition from two-dimensional nets to three-dimensional forms, allowing students to visualize and grasp abstract geometric principles more concretely. Many reviews highlight that the set fosters an engaging learning environment, encouraging independent exploration, small group lessons, and kinesthetic learning styles. The durability and size of the geometric solids are noted as advantageous, particularly for use in classrooms with younger students. The inclusion of rubber inserts that demonstrate the different 2D shapes comprising the 3D forms adds an extra layer of learning, with many users reporting that students enjoy working with the shapes during center time or in homeschooling activities. Parents praised the high-quality materials that are lightweight, durable, and friendly for small hands. However, some customers pointed out significant design flaws, such as difficulty in keeping certain shapes securely assembled when folded into their 3D forms. The cone, in particular, was cited as problematic due to its tendency to pop apart during handling. While some users found ways to hold the shapes together effectively, they indicated that the “click together” feel they expected was lacking. Despite these concerns, many agree that the educational benefits of the set outweigh the minor issues, making it a valuable addition to math supplies for both classrooms and homeschooling settings. Overall, the set is deemed effective for teaching geometric concepts while offering tactile and visual stimulation to enhance the learning experience. **

“I bought Huckberry Flint & Tinder blazer at Ubuy. My request for a return was rejected at first but later I received an apology message willing to resolve the matter without placing any burden on me. I really appreciate their resolution. The blazer was collected yesterday by DHL couriers on behalf of Ubuy. They can only do a refund and not offer a bigger size as i expected, but i am fine with that too. ”
