The Stalingrad '42 Board Game is a great military simulation of Hitler's advance on Stalingrad and the Caucuses. It has easy to read map and counters and the Mark Simonitch's zoc bond system makes the game easy to learn and intuitive to play. It has a low counter/unit density, but models armour superiority and tank quality well, giving the defender options that prevent them from being a bystander in combat. As the game develops, the cats turn to mice and the mice to cats, resulting in Constant, flowing fighting.
