- Hazel Clark is 18 years old and has promising future. She's the first in her family to attend college and start a new life to leave the old one behind. But Hazel is missing one thing, Love. Coming from a broken home, she yearns for true love. After suffering a heartbreak from her first love, she makes a promise to only love herself. That is, until she meets the real Promise. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Promise Morris has inherited his father's drug empire and built a name for himself. After successfully carrying out his father's orders and keeping his empire alive, Promise is forced to relocate to Augusta, Ga to care for his sick grandmother, who is all the close family he has left. While in Augusta, he lays eyes on Hazel, instantly sparking a connection. Both of their worlds are turned upside down by love, lies, and betrayal. Will a love so addictive become so powerful that it overcomes everything that's meant to tear it apart?
