The wood top of the desk is made from natural wood. Although it seems to be a simple setup, all the parts are not connected, which allows for easy adaptation to any chair or couch. The bamboo desk is sturdy, as are the cushions while still being soft enough for elbows. The mousepad that comes with the product is decent quality, and the additional 1" x 5" pieces of bamboo are for tablets or mobile phones if they are too thin to fit in the tablet holder slot.
