However, some users have reported that these headphones will require EQ out of the box. The high-end can be a little scratchy on these for lower-quality mixes. The headphones provide good bass, vocal clarity and great clear highs without being ear piercing. Physically and in regards to listening fatigue, these headphones are unbelievably comfortable. The sound in every genre is fantastic with a warm sumptuous bass with good clarity in the mids and highs. The Fostex TH-610 headphones are the best closed back headphones in any price range.
