SAKURA Paints XMW12L-24SEt Editorial Review
The SAKURA Koi Watercolor Sets come with 24 colors, however, some customers have reported that six colors were missing from their set. The overall quality of the watercolors is good, but the fustian color has a shiny, translucent appearance which may not be preferred by some. The colors work well wet or dry on both cold and hot-pressed cotton blocks without any chalkiness. The pigment quality of some of the colors in the set is unparalleled by more expensive brands such as Paul Reuben's artist grade. They are a better buy compared to Jerry Q paints, which are chalky in comparison. The price for Koi tubes is the same as a Jerry Q half pan set but provides twice the amount of paint. The only disadvantage of this set is that buyers would need to purchase a palette for the tubes.
