The Bluesound POWERNODE 2I (with HDMI) is a streamer, DAC and integrated amplifier that is highly recommended. However, there are some Cons. While some reviewers found the device easy to set up, others experienced problems with wifi, especially if they have multiple/meshed wifi routers with the same SSID. The sound quality is good, but sometimes harsh or digital for some, and it is not ideal for smooth-sounding amps like tube amps. Some people experienced problems with Apple Airplay 2, which drops the connection unexpectedly, and the iPhone app is buggy and freezes frequently. The Bluesound RC1 - Simple IR Remote Control is a great addition for controlling the device, especially since the iPhone app is temperamental. Some reviewers loved the sound quality of the device, while others thought it could use more midrange EQ, more watts, and more streaming sources. Some reviewers experienced problems with the internal build quality, and the second unit broke just after a few weeks of use. However, removing these isolated issues, it is a super convenient, great sounding unit that is very easy to love.
