They are easy to pit and very tasty. The natural sugar/juice gives them the sticky/waxy texture. The package does not contain any added chemicals or sugar. The Medjool Dates, 1 Pound has received mixed reviews online. Some buyers find them too sweet and will not order this variety again. On the other hand, other buyers find them the best dates they have ever eaten, sweet, caramel-like, ripened to perfection, and fresh tasting. The downside is that the dates have pits, and one buyer complained of a powder burst when taking a bite, which could be a concern for pregnant women.
