The ESI 305M 30 Amp Fuse Buddy Mini Tester is a handy diagnostic tool that allows you to check the amount of current in a circuit. It is not designed to check fuses. The cord is approximately 27 inches long, but it is not recommended to use the tester while driving. The tester uses a -23 12volt battery. The power switch stays on when turned on. However, this model (305M) has a resolution of .01 or 100 milliamps, so it is not ideal for measuring parasitic current draws. The better model for parasitic drains is the 302M, which has a resolution of .01 or 10 milliamps. The ESI 307M also works with low profile mini fuses. Overall, this product is a good value for its price and is a useful tool for diagnostic purposes.
