What are Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves designed for?

The Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves are specifically designed to provide sun protection while engaging in outdoor activities. Made with a specialized ActiveIce fabric, these gloves offer UPF 50+ sun protection, making them ideal for hiking, fishing, or any extended exposure to the sun. Additionally, the gloves are lightweight and breathable, ensuring comfort even in hot conditions. Users often wear them during long treks or while participating in water sports where sun exposure is intense.

Are these gloves suitable for all hand sizes?

Yes, the Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves come in various sizes to accommodate a wide range of hand sizes. The gloves feature a snug fit that allows for dexterity and free movement, which is crucial for activities that require precision, like fishing or climbing. Furthermore, the stretchy fabric adapts to different hand shapes, ensuring that most users can enjoy a comfortable and secure fit, making these gloves versatile for shared use among family or friends during outdoor adventures.

Can I use my smartphone while wearing these gloves?

Yes, the Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves are equipped with touch screen-compatible fingertips. This feature allows you to easily use smartphones or GPS devices without having to remove the gloves. This is particularly useful when you’re on the trail and need to check maps or respond to messages, combining functionality with sun protection seamlessly.

Do these gloves provide warmth as well as sun protection?

While the primary function of the Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves is to offer sun protection with their breathable fabric, they also provide light insulation. This makes them suitable for cooler morning or evening temperatures, especially in transitional seasons. However, they are not designed as heavy-duty winter gloves. They serve well in scenarios where you need a balance between warmth and breathability during outdoor activities.

How do I care for my ActiveIce Sun Gloves?

To maintain the quality of your Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves, hand washing is recommended. Use mild detergent and cold water, then air dry them completely. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals, as these can degrade the fabric. Proper care ensures that the sun protection and breathability features last longer, allowing you to enjoy your outdoor activities without compromising on glove performance.

Are these gloves suitable for water activities?

Absolutely! The Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves are designed to dry quickly and offer excellent grip, making them ideal for water-related activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, or fishing. The combination of sun protection and functionality allows you to handle gear confidently, reducing the risk of slips while ensuring your hands are protected from the sun's harmful rays.

What activities are best suited for these gloves?

These gloves are perfect for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, boating, and cycling. Their lightweight design and superior sun protection make them handy for any situation where your hands are exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. Many users find them particularly useful for long days on the water or in the mountains, where UV exposure is a concern.

Will the gloves fit snugly if my hands are sweaty?

Yes, the Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves are designed with moisture-wicking properties that help to keep your hands dry, even in warm and humid conditions. The breathable fabric allows for airflow, which helps prevent excessive sweating. This feature is particularly advantageous during strenuous activities such as hiking or cycling where hand grip and comfort are key.

Can I wear these gloves for urban activities?

Yes, while the Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Gloves are engineered for outdoor adventures, they can also be used in urban settings. Whether you're walking in the city on a sunny day, cycling to work, or enjoying outdoor markets, these gloves offer sun protection and comfort. The stylish design allows them to fit seamlessly into everyday activities without compromising on functionality.

“I bought Huckberry Flint & Tinder blazer at Ubuy. My request for a return was rejected at first but later I received an apology message willing to resolve the matter without placing any burden on me. I really appreciate their resolution. The blazer was collected yesterday by DHL couriers on behalf of Ubuy. They can only do a refund and not offer a bigger size as i expected, but i am fine with that too. ”
