While it was detected as two different cameras by Windows 8, a dedicated code would be required to watch both images simultaneously. This camera is not recommended for use as a regular webcam. The focal length of this 960P dual camera module is 2.0. Reviews are mixed with one customer stating that under normal lighting conditions, major JPEG artifacts make registration matches highly unlikely. Another customer says they were only able to take one photo before the camera stopped working, and another customer found the output image to simply be the sum of left and right images. However, one customer had no problems and found it to be a good product.
