The scissors feature straight blades with fine tips and have a pointed tip width that makes them suitable for use in cutting sewn buttonholes without damaging the buttonhole threads. The thumb hole is comfortable and big enough to fit a 2.5-inch circumference thumb. The 5100C scissor has curved blades and a straight handle, while the 5100 has straight blades and handles. It is worth noting that the blades of the 2105 scissors are thinner side to side and have different handles than the N5100. The N5000 refers to a class of craft scissors, whereas N5100 refers to the specific style.
