The mounting hole distance measures approximately 3 3/16" and the diameter is 5/16 approx. The shifter can lock out reverse and can be used with bus 3 rib transmissions. One does not need to purchase a shifter linkage separately as the shifter is a direct fit for the buggy. The assembly from the base to the top of the shift knob measures 10.25 inches tall. In terms of reception, customers seem to be satisfied with the product as it has worked well with their vehicles.
