The ART ARTcessories Xdirect Professional Active Direct Box comes with a range of features that make it convenient and easy to use. It has 0, 20, or 40 dB attenuation, XLR or TRS in, 1/4" Link out on input, GND lift switch, phase invert switch, 9volt battery or phantom power operation, and very high input impedance. The output is XLR balanced, low impedance. However, some users have reported issues with the cannon plug being unable to hold some mic cables snugly, rendering otherwise nice electronics useless. Another user reported that the direct box died after a few months and was not passing any signal, even though it was receiving power. Despite these issues, the majority of users found the direct box simple, convenient, and good value for the price.
