The Large Slicer Shredder Attachment for Bosch Universal Mixers is a hit and miss product. While some users have expressed their admiration and satisfaction for this product, others have had a frustrating experience with it. It is a heavy-duty attachment with a large opening chute that can accommodate vegetables as large as a whole russet potato. Users have remarked that it is an excellent tool for slicing and grating and can handle a quarter of a 2lb brick of cheese without an issue. However, some users’ experiences have not been as favorable because of the plastic pieces that go with the slicer that get quickly twisted, especially when shredding hard vegetables such as carrots. The attachment comes with two drive pieces, one for the Classic Bosch Mixers and the other for the current Bosch Universal Plus mixers. Although this attachment is compatible with older Bosch models, some users with older machines have reported difficulties with attaching the slicer. L’chef by Bosch is the company to contact when there is a need for replacement plastic parts for the attachment. This slicer does not yet have a spiralizer, but the manufacturer is planning to develop one for Bosch Mixers, which should be available in January.
