It cannot remove materials or sharpen; it's designed to be used with the Tormek drive wheel and older Tormek 10" systems like the T-7 and SuperGrind 2000. It has a 14mm ID of the shaft hole that fits into the Tormek T-8 Drive Wheel. No honing paste or oil is needed, and it works similarly to the leather strop. The composite wheel is easy to use, provides excellent results, and eliminates the mess and cost of applying paste to the leather wheel. The wheel loses some material with use, but it doesn't affect the performance, and it doesn't change shape. Customers who purchased the wheel are satisfied with the product, and there haven't been any returns.
