The Brunton TruArc 15 compass is designed for use in forestry and outdoor activities. It's made in the US and has an adjustable declination. The level is used to ensure no friction between the compass needle and the supporting pin. The magnification bubble helps to use it down to 1-degree increments. However, some users found the magnifying bubble distorted, making readings difficult to use. The clinometer is easy to use, and the onboard mirror for sighting bearings works well, with a protective slim case. The Brunton TruArc 15 is not intuitive since it's the opposite of every other compass users are used to. Users reported having trouble with the declination adjustment, and different parts of the compass are badly balanced and poorly made. Overall it is a decent compass with a few significant flaws.
