Kelty Tents 40835522DL Editorial Review
The Kelty Discovery Trail Backpacking Tent has garnered largely positive feedback from users, with many praising its lightweight design, ease of setup, and overall durability. One of the standout features noted by multiple reviewers is the tent’s simplicity in assembly, with one user highlighting the color-coordinated clips on the rainfly that eliminate confusion during setup. Many reviews underscore its solid Construction, especially with the aluminum poles which offer a robust alternative to fiberglass models. Customers have experienced successful outings in varied weather conditions, from rain to colder temperatures. For instance, several reviewers mentioned its ability to keep occupants dry and warm during heavy rain and chilly nights. However, while it has been described as accommodating for two people under certain conditions, it seems best suited for solo campers or those willing to camp snugly with limited gear. The tent has also been appreciated for its ventilation, though a few reviewers noted that airflow can be restricted in hotter climates, particularly when the rainfly is fully zipped due to the limited ventilation options. On the downside, some users reported concerns about the stakes being less than ideal and the screen mesh potentially being the weakest link in the tent’s design but acknowledged that these issues are minor compared to the tent’s overall performance. In conclusion, the Kelty Discovery Trail Backpacking Tent is highly recommended for those seeking a lightweight, user-friendly tent that performs reliably in wet weather, though it may require Consideration of personal space needs when sharing with a companion. **
