Shadows: Awakening for Xbox One is a solid RPG game with a unique twist of character and world swapping. The combat system is enjoyable, and the graphics are great. The story is cool and has multiple endings requiring different playthroughs. There are various random quests that test your character's morals and affect the story. The controls are responsive, and the gameplay is smooth. However, the game has too many puzzles and is harder to kill monsters, requiring a lot of running around and healing items. Some quests are unsolvable, but players can enjoy a light RPG and pick and choose where to put attribute points and what skills to learn.
