Coming of Age Editorial Review
The Emerald Green is the third book in the Ruby Red Trilogy, written by Kerstin Gier, published on October 7, 2014. The novel is a fantasy, romance, and young adult genre with mixed reviews, although it concluded the trilogy gracefully, it still had some stale character development with the protagonist's whiny behavior lacking urgency and depth specifically in the romance between the lead characters. The book's chemistry between the two lead characters was almost nonexistent, which made the romance aspect unfulfilling. Some readers enjoy the book's mystery, slow burn romance, funny and supportive characters, historical fiction, and time travel element, proclaiming it one of the few reliable time travel books alongside Outlander. Generally, readers love the story, the great condition of the book, the exciting conclusion, and the affordable price resonated positively among readers, and they recommend the series to time travel genre lovers.
