The MagnaFlow Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System Street Series Kit 16747 is a great option for those looking for a deep and powerful sound from their Subaru Legacy GT. It fits perfectly on the 2005 Legacy GT, but according to the application chart on MagnaFlow's website, it will only fit GT models. It is louder than the stock exhaust due to the lack of resonator, but it's not overwhelming. The kit looks phenomenal, and the mufflers remain rust-free even after two winters. However, the mid-pipe doesn't have a resonator, causing some drone at cruising speeds. People who wish to install this kit on a 2.5i instead of the GT should add an extra 5-6" of 3" pipe and clamp. The clearance against the underbody heat shield is very tight and may cause rattling; however, this is a minor issue. Overall, this exhaust definitely gets the job done and is a great alternative to OE versions.
