The guides are well-made, thin and malleable to work to your advantage if the bar on the bike is almost flat. The aluminum base can be formed to the shape of the surface. The clips stick well with a strong hold only if you clean the area with alcohol first. However, some customers had trouble with the adhesive, and they had to resort to other options such as nylon zip ties. Some found them too big for normal brake/shifter cables, and the guides wouldn't stick to their painted frame. One customer spent an additional seven dollars for Gorilla mounting tape to complete the project. Overall, the reviews are mixed, but for those who had success with the adhesive, the guides were a great purchase. It's essential to ensure the application area is thoroughly cleaned before using.
