The KD Frames Lexington Platform Bed in Full Unfinished is a sturdy and well-built bed that is easy to assemble. It has a height of 12 inches under the bed, and the distance between the top of the bedframe and the bottom of the horizontal headboard slats is 11 3/4 inches. The bed frame comes with two rails that go from head to foot to hold the cross slats for mattress support. This bed has a lightweight wood design, which can be painted or stained easily, but care should be taken to sand the visible boards beforehand. The bed is American-made, of hardwood and is a great value. However, some users had issues with poor quality wood resulting in cracking sound after a year of use, and some users suggested adding more wood to brace the bed as it could be slightly shaky.
