Most customers just use small nails for installation, but Liquid Nails Glue can be used for a more permanent installation. The panels are thin and can fit behind all of your current trim and moulding. It may be a little too thin to only go over studs, but custom shiplap sizes in thicker material and longer lengths are available. It is easy to cleanly cut with a table saw and can be painted if desired. The product is great if you have the right tools and is easy to install. A reviewer noted that the shiplap arrived chipped in several areas. Another reviewer mentioned that plenty of the boards had damages but were able to be concealed or cut. The product is expensive, and there are cheaper options available.
