The bars need to be soaked in water for 30 minutes before putting them to use. Once they’re set up, they create a rectangle bubble wall that significantly increases the oxygen in the tank’s water. The artificial blue color looks great and doesn’t bleed into the water. The bubbles themselves are not as efficient in adding oxygen as the surface water does. However, they play a vital role in the water’s circulation and prevent pockets of stale water from forming. Overall, this product is an excellent addition to any aquarium or hydroponics system.
