The ART USB Phono Plus is a versatile device that serves as both a phono pre-amplifier and an RCA to digital converter. It is the Project Series, supporting both USB 1.1 and 2.0. However, there are some inconsistencies in the packaging, with some customers reporting the absence of AC power and USB cable. The unit has a volume control on the Monitor Output, indicating that it is the newer version. It does not support moving coil cartridges or have the required gain for low-output Moving Coil cartridges. Unfortunately, the software registration process is no longer available due to the company going out of business. Overall, the ART USB Phono Plus functions well as a preamp and converter, but it may not meet the needs of those using moving coil cartridges or requiring higher gain levels.
