It can be used for storing bleach and other chemicals; it is made of glass and therefore should not react with any stored liquids. It also comes with a black polyseal lid and cap which makes it leak-proof. It ships quickly and arrives with a nylon stopper that prevents evaporation. However, some customers have experienced issues with the quality of this jug. The finger ring has a raised lip inside that makes carrying a gallon of water uncomfortable. Besides, the glass's thickness is thinner than carboys that customers already have. The edges where the two glass halves join together are still sharp, and the fingerhole is small and sharp. The thin plastic cap was broken upon arrival for some customers, and the cap's clear plastic insert/liner is far too small so it falls out. Also, one customer complained that the bottle broke while cleaning.
