The Samson Servo 120a is a compact and powerful stereo power amplifier that delivers 60 watts of power per channel into 4 ohms or 120 watts into 8 ohms in bridge mode. It provides "reference-class" audio performance and reliability. The amp is equipped with a large toroid transformer, and there is a low amount of physical hum in the unit, but it's virtually silent when it comes to signal to noise even through efficient loudspeakers which is acceptable for a pro rack mount amp. It can run on 220V direct, and the internal transformer has a tap for 120V or 220V. The outputs are 5-way binding post output connectors (with provisions for banana speaker connectors) rather than 1/4-inch jacks. The manufacturer states that it is ideal for powering near field monitors or installation sound.
