The Zoo Med 78098 Turtle Dock X-Large is a great choice for larger turtles. It comes with a string and anchor to keep it from moving around the tank and a basking area that is about 9" wide by 12". The ramps are about 3" and the dock stands at about 3" tall on a flat surface. It's perfect for a turtle to bask under the light. The dock is 12" wide and just shy of 24" long. Most customers agree that it works well for their turtles. The extra-large size is perfect for them, and they can bask on it together. It does float around the tank, even with rocks anchoring it, but customers suggest shortening the string and putting more rocks in the sack. Some also complain that the product looks unnaturally heavy for a turtle's tank. While some customers are pleased with the product, others have had a bad experience, with some of the docks arriving broken or faulty. Others reported that the platform was very large or that their turtles were Constantly trying to eat their way through the string or fabric. Additionally, after using it, some noticed an oily residue in the water. Despite its flaws, the Zoo Med 78098 Turtle Dock X-Large is a good purchase for most customers.
