15Pcs 4.5" x 7/8" Nylon Fiber Flap Disc Polishing Grinding Wheel,Scouring pad Buffing Wheel for Angle Grinder

The 15Pcs 4.5" x 7/8" Nylon Fiber Flap Disc Polishing Grinding Wheel has garnered an array of opinions from users, creating a mixed reception in the market. Primarily, customers appreciate the product for its value and performance in stripping paint and preparing surfaces for further work. Many users found them effective for scuffing up old paint and removing rust, particularly on automotive bodywork, where they achieved satisfactory results quickly. However, this product is not without its drawbacks. Users have reported that the flap discs wear down rapidly, particularly when used on sharp edges or aggressive materials. A notable concern was their tendency to disintegrate under pressure, causing debris to scatter and creating a mess during use. This has led some users to express disappointment, particularly for those expecting a more robust performance from these pads. While the discs are flexible and can conform to various surfaces, this design feature appears to limit their durability, making them less ideal for tougher applications. Some customers cautioned against using them on very soft materials like aluminum in a scraping motion, as they may wear the backing too quickly. In conclusion, while the nylon fiber flap discs are effective for certain polishing tasks and offer good value, they require careful handling and may not withstand heavy-duty use, especially near sharp edges. Users looking for a cost-effective solution for paint removal and surface finishing will find them useful, but those needing more durable options may want to explore alternatives. **
