The APC Network UPS SMX1000C is a 1000 VA, line-interactive, tower-to-rack convertible UPS that comes with an extended run option. It includes cable for daisy chaining to an external battery. Besides, it includes rack mounting rail, and no additional surge protector is needed. The NMC card adds redundant asic, and a cable included to hook it up to the actual UPS itself. The device is designed for connecting multiple battery packs. However, some customers found it hard to connect and operate the device.
