It is easy to set up and provides updates to fix any issues promptly. Although it only supports appliances controlled by infrared signals, the device is compatible with Samsung SmartThings. If you have other SwitchBot Thermometer and Hygrometer devices at home, you can quickly set them up to display their temperature and humidity readings on the panel of SwitchBot Hub 2. However, the device comes out of the box in Celsius, which could be a hassle for some users. The user must change it manually to Fahrenheit via the Profile -> Preferences settings. The unit is also very bright at night, which may cause inconvenience to users.
