There is an elastic band on the inside of the front cover which when folded back can be used to hold the iPad with one hand. I prefer using it at a tilted angle which can be at several angles with this case.

Is the inside grey or tan?

It is gray on the inside of the blue case

Does it close correctly with a screen protector ?

Yes. I added a screen protector and it still closes without any problem

How to work volume on the keyboard? It wont go up or down

I have never tried to adjust the volume via the keyboard. To adjust the volume, I use the controls on my iPad. It appears that the F9 and F10 keys on the top of the keyboard indicate volume controls but I haven’t tried it.

The "i" button sticks. Should I return for a replacement or is there a way to fix that?

I have NOT had that problem with any of the buttons on the keyboard. I suggest returning for a replacement.

Can someone provide a picture of the usb connection cord? I purchased another item, which said compatible with 2018 and cord didn’t fit.

The usb cord for the keyboard is an Android mirco usb cord. The package comes with the cord. :)
