"Record of Agarest War" is a game suited for fans of obscure JRPGs but might not be the best option for everyone. The game, which was originally released on Xbox 360 and PS3, features team-based tactical battles, long cutscenes and speaking sections, and romance options with multiple women to choose from. The player's choices affect the skills of their child, and the game repeats with advancing plots and more romance. However, the game is not incredibly good nor bad, and there's no other way to get it in physical form with English in the west. Some complaints were received about the saving system and the lack of box art.
