This Bluetooth OBD2 scanner is reported to work well with Android phones and Windows systems. To use it, you need to use an app such as Torque Lite or Pro, DashCommand, Car Scanner, TPMS or similar. The device can read and clear fault codes for most cars. It works with any Mercedes type car that is OBDII certified and has a standard 16-pin connector. The device should work on a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT V6 and one should look under the dash just in front of the base to your steering column. However, it might not work on some Fords. The device does not need the engine to be started, and you only need to turn the key to the ON position. One of the customers used it to fix a rear brake and blinker issue on a 14 F-150, and it did the job.
