What is the function of the Belimo Actuator Spring Return 120V 35#?

The Belimo Actuator Spring Return 120V 35# is designed to control the opening and closing of HVAC dampers and valves. Its primary function is to automate airflow regulation, ensuring efficient climate control in commercial and residential buildings. This actuator features a spring return mechanism that allows the damper to revert to a predefined position when power is lost. Such functionality is essential in instances where precise control over temperature and air quality is required, such as in server rooms or laboratories.

How does the spring return mechanism work in this actuator?

The spring return mechanism operates by utilizing a spring coil that engages when the electrical supply to the actuator is cut off. This design ensures that the actuator returns to a predetermined position — typically either fully open or fully closed — allowing for safe and predictable operation. This functionality is particularly crucial in applications where system failures may lead to hazardous conditions, as it ensures that the airflow is managed appropriately and minimizes risk in HVAC systems.

Can this actuator be used with different types of valves?

Yes, the Belimo Actuator Spring Return 120V 35# is versatile and compatible with various types of valves and dampers. It is suitable for usage with ball valves, butterfly valves, and linear actuated dampers in HVAC applications. This compatibility makes it an excellent choice for diverse installations, from commercial buildings to residential systems, where different valve and damper types might be present.

What type of applications is the Belimo actuator best suited for?

The Belimo actuator is best suited for HVAC applications, particularly in commercial environments such as office buildings, schools, and hospitals. It effectively controls air flow and temperature, which enhances energy efficiency and occupants’ comfort. In residential scenarios, it can be used in smart home systems to regulate climate control and optimize energy usage, demonstrating its utility across varied settings.

Is it easy to install the Belimo Actuator Spring Return 120V 35#?

Installation of the Belimo Actuator Spring Return 120V 35# is user-friendly, designed to simplify integration with existing HVAC systems. The actuator comes with detailed installation instructions that facilitate a smooth setup process. Users often find it beneficial to engage qualified technicians for installation, especially in complex systems, ensuring that connections are correctly made to maximize operational efficiency and reliability.

What is the output torque specification for this actuator?

The Belimo Actuator Spring Return 120V 35# features an output torque specification of 35 inch-pounds, providing adequate force to control small to medium-sized valves and dampers effectively. This torque rating is essential for ensuring that the actuator can overcome any resistance from the damper or valve it is controlling, maintaining overall system performance and reliability across various applications.

Does the actuator include any built-in safety features?

Yes, the Belimo Actuator Spring Return 120V 35# includes built-in safety features such as a spring return function. This function ensures that in the event of a power failure, the damper or valve will revert to a safe position, thereby minimizing risk and ensuring continued performance of HVAC systems. Additionally, features like overload protection help prevent damage to the system, ensuring longevity and reliability.

What types of controls are available for this actuator?

The Belimo Actuator Spring Return 120V 35# is designed to work with various control types, including 0-10V, MODBUS, and other standard control signals. This flexibility allows it to integrate seamlessly into existing building management systems (BMS), enabling precise monitoring and control of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning operations, ultimately leading to enhanced energy efficiency.

What is the operational voltage for this actuator model?

The operational voltage for the Belimo Actuator Spring Return is 120V. This standard voltage rating makes it widely compatible with existing electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings, enabling easy integration without the need for specialized electrical modifications. This model is commonly used in environments where centralized HVAC systems are installed to manage air distribution effectively.

“I bought Huckberry Flint & Tinder blazer at Ubuy. My request for a return was rejected at first but later I received an apology message willing to resolve the matter without placing any burden on me. I really appreciate their resolution. The blazer was collected yesterday by DHL couriers on behalf of Ubuy. They can only do a refund and not offer a bigger size as i expected, but i am fine with that too. ”
