The HITOP Full Spectrum LED Aquarium Light is a good choice for shallow tanks and is fairly small and skinny, making it a good option for small aquariums. It is not recommended for deeper tanks and has no dimmer or color changing feature. The timer is reliable but the cord is quite short, requiring an extension cord or longer outlet block. It can only be used with rimless tanks since the clips do not fit a tank with a rim. The light is great for low-cost planted tanks but it is not waterproof and has already developed rust. The light is bright and effective for aquatic plants and is good value for money at $12. However, the timer only has 3, 6, 12 or 24-hour options, lacking an 8 or 10-hour option.
