The Donner DDS-1000 Crystal 22-inch 5-Drum Set for Adults in Transparent+Red is an acrylic kit that offers great quality shells for its price, along with decent hardware. It may not be at the same level as more expensive sets such as DW, but with some upgrades and adjustments, it can be an awesome kit at a great value. The bearing edges on the toms were a little rough, but still very usable, and the heads are not great quality, but are fine for beginners. The kit has a virgin kick drum, allowing for multiple variations, and the tom mounts have ball joints for unlimited positioning. The set is great for beginners and intermediate players and has received high praise for its sound quality.
