The stability button keeps the fastener straight throughout the installation process, ensuring a secure and professional-looking deck. With the COLLATED Cortex system, you'll have everything you need for a hassle-free installation.
Each package includes screws, plugs, and a setting tool to make the process as easy as possible. The industrial-grade setting tool allows you to install up to 350 fasteners, providing exceptional efficiency. Perfect for the entire deck, including first and last boards, breaker boards, perimeter, and stairs, the COLLATED Cortex system offers a comprehensive solution to hide fasteners and create a seamless finish. The collated strip minimizes handling and reduces the risk of misplacing individual fasteners, making installation even more convenient. Please note that the COLLATED Cortex system is specifically designed for Trex Enhance Clam Shell Decking and is available in the elegant Clam Shell color.
It is not compatible with other decking materials. For optimal results, we recommend installing the COLLATED Cortex system with an 18-volt cordless drill. Please avoid using impact drivers on composite decking boards with or without a capstock. Pre-drilling is generally not required during the majority of the project, except when fastening within 1/2 of the end of a board or at mitered joints.
