Sony DVD Movies Editorial Review
"The movie is a very good adaptation of the original story, although it falls slightly short of the brilliance of the original. However, it still manages to stay true to the essence of the story. It is a great option for those who prefer movies in color and can't stand black and white." One notable aspect of this version is the abundance of music. If you are a fan of musicals, you will likely enjoy this adaptation more than the original. The music adds depth to the storytelling and enhances the emotional impact of certain scenes. Overall, this DVD release offers a chance for audiences to revisit a beloved classic in a new and visually appealing format. Despite not reaching the heights of the original, it has its own merits and is still an enjoyable watch, especially for fans of musicals and those who prefer color movies.
