While the blue light is pretty bright, it will not make the GloFish glow very well, only the green fish will shine. The white light is pretty bright, however. Moreover, the light has three different settings: blue only, white and blue combined, and off. If you are a beginner in fish keeping, this is the perfect product for you. It is affordable and fits right into tanks up to 20 gallons.
