It mounts best when gravity flows towards it, so the pump doesn't have to work as hard. The pump has a 5 amp capacity, with 1/8" female pipe thread inlet and outlet threads. The pump is suitable for old Ford trucks, and the 5/16 filter and Barb allows for a smooth flow. It is worth noting that the pump doesn't have an anti-siphon valve, so fuel can be pulled in either direction when the pump is turned off.
