Although some buyers did receive products with small nicks and flaws in the enamel. The lid of the pot rocks, and the tight seal is only achieved when a foil is placed over the top before putting the lid back on. Nonetheless, the pot cooks evenly, browns dishes well, and is excellent for stews, soups, braising meat, and roasting. The patented lid's unique bubbles and tight fit keep moisture in to allow for self-basting. The interior of the pot didn't make cleaning difficult, and it's ready to use without oiling before first use. Although it is expensive, it is a beautiful pot to have in your kitchen.
