The PK14 can be purchased with a pedal drive or a trolling motor. The pedal drive and trolling motor are easily interchangeable if you have both.

Does it require two people or could one manage it?

This model is extremely lightweight and will allow for one person use very easily and comfortably. You will not notice a big difference between riding alone or with a passenger. If riding alone, sit in the second seat for optimal control. You can also add some weight to the front of the kayak to distribute the weight as much as possible.
