The app attempts to measure areas in square footage, but inaccurately. Users cannot overlay on Google Maps, but they can use a screenshot or picture of any map or survey and use it as a background to overlay paths on. In terms of accuracy, the product fails to deliver and often measures about 20% less than the actual area. This lack of accuracy resulted in significant losses for a company that uses the device to measure square footage for sod installation. The product has limited functionality, and users are better off with a traditional measuring wheel with a brake and reset on the handle.
