The cups are easy to hold and are travel-friendly. These cups have an 8oz capacity when filled to the top, and yes they can be used for hot beverages. The cup lid is not easy to open making it difficult for babies and toddlers to open it. They are ideal for transitioning babies from the bottle as they can hold milk, and there is no difficulty in getting the milk out of them. However, they are not completely leak-proof, although the water drips slowly enough from them when they are on their side or upside down so as not to ruin surfaces if caught within 5 to 10 mins. They work somewhat like a straw and collapse because air doesn't easily get into the cup to allow the child to keep drinking. It has leaked between the cup and the top. Although the drinking difficulty could be due to the design of the sippy cups, it is worth checking the suction level for each child.
