DMM Belay & Rappel Equipment Editorial Review

DMM Pivot is recognized as one of the best plaquette devices, particularly favored for multi-pitch climbing. It offers a robust guide mode with a large ring that easily passes the carabiner gate for flipping options. Users appreciate its performance as a strong alternative to Petzl Reverso and Black Diamond ATC Guide, highlighting its smooth lowering capability in guide mode. However, it may present more friction when taking in slack, especially on extended climbs, which could affect overall efficiency. Despite some concerns regarding the condition on purchase, functionality remains impressive and reliable for climbers.
